Project to build SOA system to provide Trade reference data to all Rates Marketing application stack. Several common economic reference data resided in individual applications, which caused trade-processing errors during STP to downstream systems. Synchronization across all system was complex and time-consuming exercise. Every system had different naming conventions, which complicated the analysis and deployment of new solutions.



Each system in the stack had to allocate certain budget for analysis of reference data stored/used internally, development efforts to incorporate new service oriented model to fetch data. All teams had to agree on new naming conventions and appropriately arrange changes within their systems. Performance and data ownership consideration was key to deliver this solution.



With the help of technical teams identified all the reference data used within the systems. Had weekly group discussions with MO and business managers on agree on conventions. Produced gap analysis on the data mismatch between various systems. Devised plan to migrate data to centralized system based on complexities around each change. Managed work around technical benchmarking for services framework.

Successfully delivered project with 70% reference data migrated to centralize within agreed timeline. Overall technology delivery timelines improved, production errors reduced by 10%. Middle Office users were made data guardian for controlling changes to reference data.
