Mobilising a DevOps pod for the official trade-reporting platform and delivering a big-data repository that answers regulators in real time and across history.

The challenge

Reporting obligations differed by jurisdiction and kept changing, historical fire-drill requests from regulators were hard to meet, and the global team needed restructuring around metric-driven, business-value delivery.

What I did

• Mobilised a DevOps pod: global team structuring, metric-driven project tracking and improved agile process.

• Delivered an organisation-wide front-to-back repository on Hadoop clusters for real-time and historical regulatory reporting.

• Owned budgeting and planning for the regulatory reporting commitments across jurisdictions.

• Enhanced the client-facing FX web portal used to confirm executed trades and fixed the issue-management process behind it.

Outcome

• Critical historical regulatory fire-drill reporting met.

• Trade-confirmation errors on the FX portal reduced by 40%.
